Robert J. Parillo, 83, of Amsterdam, NY; passed away February 29, 2024 at home.

Born in Amsterdam, NY on September 6, 1940, he was the son of the late Philip and Maria Cantiello Parillo.

Robert received his education in the Amsterdam school system and was a graduate of Wilbur H. Lynch Senior High School.

Robert retired from General Electric Company, where he was a purchasing Agent.

Robert is survived by his wife, Deborah Farley Parillo at home, his son Jeffrey (Auendi) Parillo of, Arizona; his daughter, Kelly (Dale) Wanke of Arizona, brothers Ronald (Mary) Parillo of Amsterdam, Mark (Judy) Parillo of Arizona; sisters, Dawn (Robert) Shuttleworth ) of Brunswick, GA; and Barbara (Tom, companion) Korona of Mariaville, NY; eight grandchildren,12 great- grandchildren, and stepchildren; Katelyn Orozco and Tyler Orozco. Nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Robert was predeceased by his second wife, Julie Merendo Parillo.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, which will be celebrated Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 39 St. John Street, Amsterdam, NY 12010 with the Very Rev. O. Robert DeMartinis E.V. officiating.

There are no calling hours.

Interment will take place at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery
