<p>Norman Eugene Ward, age 86, of Honaker, Virginia passed away Friday (March 1, 2024) in a Grundy, Virginia hospital. Born May 9, 1937 in Virginia, he was a son of the late Cosby Stiltner. A lifelong resident of the area, he attended Perkins Chapel in Swords Creek and Honaker Church of God. He had been employed as a truck driver. </p><p>In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jane Street Ward; one son, Rev. Randall Ward; one daughter, Elizabeth Diane Ray; and two great-grandchildren.</p><p>Survivors include three daughters, Susie Fields and husband, Larry, Patricia Hess and husband, Bill and Faye Harris and husband, Darrell; two sons, Ricky Ward and wife, Teresa and Jeff Ward and wife, Laura; thirteen grandchildren, Scottie Farmer, Jeremiah Ward, Keisha Rose, Amanda Moose, Brian Street, Tyre Ward, Amy Ward, Cindy Ward, Aaron Ray, Stephanie Harris, Alice Casey, Jonathan Harris and Jarred Goins; a special friend, Shelby Miller and eleven great-grandchildren also survive.</p><p>The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff of Heritage Hall in Grundy for the wonderful care they provided.</p><p>Funeral services will be conducted at 1 PM Sunday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel with his grandson, Jeremiah Ward and Rev. Johnny Turner officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitt Cemetery at Drill, Virginia. </p><p>Pallbearers will be grandsons: Scottie Farmer, Brian Street, Jonathan Harris, Jeremiah Ward, Aaron Ray and Jarred Goins.</p><p>The family will receive friends at Honaker Funeral Home from Noon until 1 PM Sunday.</p><p><br></p>
