Noella L. Hemond

<p>Noella L. Hemond 99, of Sherman Farm Rd in Harrisville, and formerly of Diamond Hill Rd. in Woonsocket, passed away on February 21, 2024, at Hebert Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Maurice Hemond. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Olivier and Odina (Pelletier) Verrier. Noella was employed at a variety of companies and positions throughout her life, including: line work at UniRoyal and Bancroft Companies, receptionist for a medical office and cafeteria server for Mark Stevens until her retirement in 1988. Noella was a Eucharistic Minister at the former St. Ann’s Church and member of their Ladies Guild. </p><p>She is survived by her daughters, Louise D. Hemond and Anita Blanchard and her husband Lucien, both of Harrisville, two grandsons, James and Justin Blanchard and his wife Katie, and three great-grandchildren, Cameron, Ethan and Faith. Noella was predeceased by her daughter Ann Marie Hemond and siblings David, Camille, George, Robert, Lucien, Florent and Jean Paul Verrier, and Gabrielle Robert. </p><p>A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 8, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Main St. Harrisville, RI. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, PO Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38101-9908 in her memory would be appreciated.&nbsp; </p>
