Eugene Patterson Boganey of Muskegon, MI, passed away on February 29, 2024 at the age of 86. He was born in Coffeyville, Kansas on August 10, 1937, to the union Andrew and Winifred Boganey and was the youngest of eleven siblings. Eugene was a person with a gentle spirit, who found joy in encouraging others to bring out the best in themselves.

Eugene proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1954 to 1958 as an aircraft mechanic. After his military service, he went on to have a fulfilling career with the United States Postal Service and the United States Social Security Administration.

He attended Muskegon Heights High School and was a member of Christ Temple Apostolic Faith Church under the leadership of Late Bishop Willie Burrel Sr. Eugene hobbies including jogging in the 1970s and participating in his office bowling league.

Eugene is survived by Gloria Boganey, his three children Adrian Boganey of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Anthony Boganey of San Diego, California, and Angela(Dwight) Boganey-Quinn of Muskegon, Michigan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Winifred Boganey  and all of his siblings.

Internment  will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens, 2188 Remembrance Dr., Muskegon, MI 49442.
