Fred H. Taylor, age 89 of Sidney, NE passed away in Grand Island on Thursday, February 29, 2024. Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will be held at a later date.

Fred Taylor was born March 11, 1934 in Denver, CO to James and Ruth Taylor. He lived and worked most of his life in Denver. Fred worked at his first job in the funeral industry until he retired. Fred met his wife Jean in Denver and they were married June 17, 1978. Fred was a member of El Jebel Shrine even serving as Potentate in 2008. He was a member of the Shrine Motorcycle Patrol. He and Jean could be found on weekends at parades in neighboring towns where he and the other members would perform various maneuvers for the parade goers. Fred was a member of the Denver Rotary Club. He held the position of Sargent at Arms for several years.

Fred and Jean moved to Sidney NE in 2014 to be closer to their family. As his health declined, he moved to Edgewood Senior Living Center in Grand Island where he lived for the last year.

Fred was preceded in death by his wife Jean, and his parents Jim and Ruth. He leaves behind his daughter Sandy - Kevin, his granddaughter Jennifer - Michael, as well as two great grandchildren, James and Elizabeth.
