<p>Barry Valentine Heisz passed away peacefully on Valentine’s Day 2024 at the age of 82. Barry grew up in Formosa with his parents, Oscar and Marie, and his six siblings. Barry often reminisced about his happy childhood. After graduating high school and attending university, he became a stationary engineer and later a brewmaster, carrying on a long standing family tradition. He fell in love with Sarah, got married and together they raised four children while he worked in the brewing industry, achieving a reputation for his craftsmanship and leadership. His main hobby was woodworking and he devoted countless hours to designing and building for his family. In his later years, Barry included repointing an old granite school house and protecting a grove of black walnut trees to his countless accomplishments.<br></p><p><br></p><p>He is predeceased by his parents, Oscar and Marie, and his brothers, Frank, John, Robert, and Joe.<br></p><p><br></p><p>Barry’s memory will be kept alive by his wife of 62 years, Sarah, his four children, John, Heidi (George), Andrew (Marianne), and Janice, his grandchildren, Bram, Brendan, Max, and Eva, his great grandchildren, Lola and Connor and his sisters, Joan (Bernie) and Kathy (Joseph) along with his many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.&nbsp;<br></p><p><br></p><p>As expressions of sympathy, the family encourages everyone to plant a tree in Barry's memory.&nbsp;<br></p><p><br></p><p>Cremation arrangements entrusted to Cameron's Cremation &amp; Funeral Services, Walkerton.&nbsp;</p>
