Kristen was born on February 22, 1959, in Cambridge, ON. She left this earth February 23, 2024, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, after a brief illness.

Predeceased by her father, Dr. Robert Bruce Holliday; mother, Claire Elizabeth Holliday (nee Knowles); and brother, Kevin Holliday.

She leaves behind her two sons, Andrew Bruce Riley, of Pembroke, and Colten Alexander Riley of Cambridge. Her four grandsons were truly the lights of her life, and she will be missed by all of them. They are Damon, Jaxxon, and Lyncoln Riley of Pembroke, and Memphis Dwyer of Cambridge. She will be dearly missed by her close friends Robbie

Medeiros and Shelly Windover, among many others.

Kristen lived her entire life in Cambridge and was a graduate of Southwood Secondary School. She ran a successful floral business for years, after which she trained to become an esthetician, opening Butterfly Aesthetics. She touched many, many lives and was kind to a fault. Kristen was a beautiful soul who battled Stage 4 melanoma successfully seven years

ago, defying the worst odds.

Water was her element. She was happiest on days spent in crystal blue waters anywhere in the world.

Anyone who knew Kris knew that she never met a stray animal she couldn’t either adopt or find a home for. Similarly, she would go to great lengths to save any living creature, including wading into the Speed River to save a couple of turtles in distress, only to discover that they were in the middle of a mating ritual.

Although Kristen had only lived in Hespeler for the past three years, she touched the lives of many people in her building and in the neighbourhood.

As per Kristen’s wishes, there will be no service.
