<p><a href="//www.hdezwebcast.com/show/jennifer-mays">Click here to watch livestream</a></p><p><br></p><p>Wilson - Funeral Services for Jennifer Michele Mays, 41 of Ardmore are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 4, 2024 at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Pastor Jason Dirks officiating.&nbsp; &nbsp; Interment will follow to Mannsville Cemetery.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Jennifer was born November 17th, 1982, in Ardmore Oklahoma to Janice Kimmell. Jennifer attended Plainview Schools, graduating in 2001. She then married the love of her life, Josh Mays on August 11th, 2012.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Jennifer began her work career at KFC at the age of 16, followed by a flower consultant at 1800 flowers while attending high school. She was then accepted to the University of Oklahoma, graduating in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in information and library studies. While attending OU she worked at the Athletic Health Medical Center.</p><p><br></p><p>After graduating, Jennifer worked at the Ardmore Medical Arts building as a claims specialist before moving to Arbuckle Medical Equipment as a consultant. She ended her work career working for the City of Ardmore before she got pregnant and retired to become a stay-at-home mother and wife. She gave birth to Lily Anne Mays on June 28th, 2017. She was an amazing mother to Lily and a very loving wife to Josh.</p><p><br></p><p>Jennifer was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in 2019. Undergoing extensive surgery, chemotherapy and radiation. Jennifer was announced cancer free on October 25th, 2019, and was still cancer free until her passing on February 26, 2024 in Ardmore, OK.</p><p><br></p><p>Jennifer enjoyed anything that involved family, ranging from as simple as weekend night board games to shopping with her husband, black Friday shopping with her mom and sister to road trips with her family. She loved being outdoors, fishing, swimming and laying in her hammock. Jennifer loved animals, especially her goat, Lucy, and her dog, Jake.</p><p><br></p><p>She enjoyed creating t-shirt logos and other apparel. Highly intelligent, she was able to help her family with business problem solving. Extremely organized, she was the “guru” everyone went to for important financial information. Uncommonly inventive, she was always the one that created amazing celebrations for family birthdays and other events. An abundant sense of humor, Jennifer was always able to find the humor in the worst situation and was always successful in making even the most stoic person laugh during troubled times. Un-yielding strength, Jennifer faced adversity with health problems from her teenage years until her passing and always faced adversity with humor and optimism. Tremendous toughness, Jennifer was a fighter, she never backed down from any confrontation. She always protected those that she loved. She had no reservations about handling these situations by any means necessary. She protected those that could not protect themselves whether that be her brother during middle school, her mother as an adult, or her family until her last days. Also included her younger cousin at a high school football game. Jennifer never lost a fight a day in her life.</p><p><br></p><p>Jennifer was proceeded in death by her grandfather Kenneth Melvin Kimmell, Her grandmother, Winifred Clark Kimmell, and Uncle Roy Wayne Kimmell and Uncle Rodney Dewayne Kimmell.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her daughter Lily Mays, and Husband Josh Mays of Mannsville Oklahoma, Mother Janice Kimmell of Ardmore Oklahoma, Brother Dr. Jason Richardson and Wife Sheacotah Richardson of Ardmore Oklahoma, and Niece McKenna Richardson.</p><p><br></p><p>Pallbearers will be Johnny Mays, Devan Vinson, Vince Vinson, Ralph Beck, Cory Scruggs, and Ernie Mays.&nbsp; Honorary bearers will be Lonnie Mays, Ricky Crowell, Kelly Bryson, John Dickinson, Wesley Kimmell, Joe Dickinson, and Mike Dickinson.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 2-4 P.M. at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p><p>Memories and stories may be shared online at www.alexandergrayfh.com.&nbsp;</p><p></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
