Anthony Aarons, a husband, a father of three, and a friend to many, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the age of 68.

Anthony (Tony), affectionately known as Junior, was born on March 23, 1955, in Kingston, Jamaica to Alfred and Mildred Aarons. He was the 7th of 8 siblings and they have shared so many lifelong memories together. At the age of 21, he moved to Brooklyn, New York with his family, where he then attended schools in New York city and after worked in the city for many years after. In 1980 Tony met Penelope (Penny) and they went on to get married and have children. Tony loved his children, and continuously sought to instill in them the values of knowledge, independence, and compassion. Tony and Penny have been blessed to be married for 36 years and supported one another throughout the years.

Junior was known for his personality and insights on various topics especially as it pertained to family and the community. He believed in having a big voice in this big world to make any kind of change and people gravitated to him because of it. Junior was also known for his great cooking that made people who even ate his leftovers ask for his recipes.

Anthony is a person that will never be forgotten but will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife, Penelope; children, Shareen, Jason and Travis; siblings, Doreen, Rosemary, Derrick, and Yvonne Colbert; many nieces, nephews, and in-laws.
