Jessie Christine (Fritz) Hetrick, 80, of Accident, MD and previously of Claysville, PA, died Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Garrett Regional Medical Center, Oakland, MD.

Born October 20, 1943, in Claysville, she was the daughter of the late Loune and Arlene (Sayer) Fritz, Sr. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, Raymond D. Miller, Sr. and D. Harvey Travis, Sr.; one brother, Loune Fritz, Jr.; one son-in-law, Mike Noble, Sr.; and one great-grandson, Hunter.

Mrs. Hetrick and her husband owned and operated Miller’s Personal Care Home and Countryside Personal Care Home. She was also employed at Sam’s Bakery, Claysville and had Deerhead Mobile Home Sales.

Jessie graduated from McGuffy High School and was a Baptist, finding strength in faith. She loved her dogs, Backhoe and Bear; enjoyed arts, crafts, educational programs, country and gospel music, watching MASH, religious activities and getting visitors. She had previously enjoyed cooking, especially spaghetti and meatballs, working on her computer, playing games and having a garden, where she planted over 100 tomato plants. Jessie enjoyed reminiscing about her grandson, Ray and her favorite holiday’s where Thanksgiving and Christmas.

She is survived by one son, Raymond D. Miller, Jr., Accident; two daughters, Amy C. (Jay Crawford) Miller and Debbi Noble, all of Claysville; two sisters, Evelyn (Larry) Burke, Springfield, MO; Pegg (Doug) Smith, Prosperity, PA; five grandchildren, Mike Noble, Jr., Melissa Coffey, J.D. Laurine, Michael Laurine and Ray Miller, III; nine great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Ella, Lily, Jameson, Remley, Brylee, Alyse, Braisley and Wyatt James.

Jessie’s services will be private.
