<p>A beloved spouse, Edward Roland Fontaine, 66, of Central Falls, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2024, at Rhode Island Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born August 7,1957, he was a cherished son of John and Florence (Roy) Fontaine, and the devoted spouse of Marjorie Craig. </p><p><br></p><p>He leaves five children and stepchildren including: Edward Fontaine, Jr. and his wife Becky of Indiana; James Fontaine and his wife Anne of Colorado; Nicholas Fontaine of Providence; Donna Craig of Newton, New Jersey; Millisa Bourke and her spouse Peter of Great Meadows, New Jersey. He is also survived by his four sisters: Deborah Fontaine of Massachusetts; Diane Wildgoose and her husband Ray of Pawtucket; Kathleen Gould of Cranston; and Darlene Otero in Puerto Rico; twelve grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Ed was predeceased by two children, Roy Craig and Jennifer Craig White. </p><p><br></p><p>Ed was a hardworking family man and true gentleman. He was funny, good-hearted, soft-spoken, and very protective. He was kind, generous, and always willing to help any family member or friend in need. When he wasn't working or taking care of his family, he loved to watch the Patriots and the Game Show Network. He also enjoyed slot machine gaming, visiting the beaches in Maine, and loved keeping his hands and mind busy. Known to be very clean and organized, he’d often like to vacuum and help out in general. </p><p><br></p><p>Ed's endearing sense of humor along with his loving and caring ways will be sorely missed but fondly remembered by all of us. Until we meet again, may he rest in eternal peace!</p><p><br></p><p>Services for Ed are respectfully private; arrangements are entrusted to the Berarducci Funeral Home &amp; Cremation Care Center, 185 Spring Street, Woonsocket.</p>
