Linda Jewel Brown

Linda Jewel Brown was born on July 27, 1942 to the late Cecil D. and Ruby (Duncan) Allen. She went to be with the Lord unexpectedly on February 28, 2024 at the age of 81.
Linda was raised in Glen Rogers and has been a resident of Shady Spring for over 64 years.

Along with her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her late husbands, Bill Coleman and Keith Carr; and her brother Alvin Allen. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, son Ronnie (Susan) Coleman of Shady Spring, son Everette Coleman of TX, son Freddie (Victoria) Coleman of TX, son Robert (Marcella) Coleman of Beckley, daughter Misty (Tom) Okes of SC; sister-in-law Betty Allen; grandchildren Tonya, Nicole, Tabitha, Amanda, Freddie Jr., Emilie, Zoie, Becky Jo, Steven, and Trista; great-grandchildren Autumn, Remington, Travis, Savannah, Mylee, and Lucas; and many extended family and friends who will miss her dearly.

Linda loved the Lord and was of the Baptist faith. She loved to go boating, sit on her porch and enjoy the outdoors, and absolutely loved her dogs. Linda's true passion during her life was being with her family. She loved to spend time with them during holidays, birthdays, and if she had it her way, everyday.

The family will receive friends for visitation from 11 am - 1 pm on Friday, March 1, 2024 at the Chapel of Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm with Pastor Larry Lilly of Cool Ridge Community Church officiating. Interment will follow services at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens with Linda's family serving as pallbearers.
