<p>Memorial services for Nancy M. McConnell, 87, of Mentor-on-the-Lake, will be at 6 PM Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Grace Church of Mentor, 6883 Reynolds Road, Mentor.</p><p>The family will receive friends from 5-6 PM Thursday at the Church, prior to the service. </p><p>Mrs. McConnell passed away Monday, February 26, 2024.</p><p>Born October 3, 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she has lived in Mentor-on-the-Lake for the past 47 years.</p><p>Nancy was a member of Grace Church of Mentor where she was active in the church choir. She graduated from Washington High School in Wisconsin and attended Indiana University where she met her husband, Jim. She was an accomplished violinist and taught private violin lessons for over 60 years. </p><p>Survivors include her children, Robert (Marie) McConnell, Catherine McConnell, and Peggy (Mike) Henderson; daughter-in-law, Katherine McConnell; grandchildren, Robert (Amber) McConnell Jr., Jason Bardin, Christopher Blackmon, Lacy Reynolds, Elizabeth McConnell, Steven Henderson, Jacob Henderson, Brenden Henderson, Lauren McConnell, and Elena McConnell.</p><p>She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. McConnell and her son, Daniel J. McConnell. Her parents, Ervin and Margaret (Behling) Jung and sister, Ruth (Sammie) Bielefeldt are also deceased. </p><p>Family suggests contributions be made to Grace Church of Mentor. </p><p><br></p>
