Janet Kay Ketterman, age 82, of Bishopville, MD died Monday, February 26, 2024 at Tidal Health Regional in Salisbury surrounded by her loved ones. She was born in Willards and was the daughter of the late James (Shep) and Mildred (Bradford) Truitt. She was one of 12 children.

Janet worked as a seamstress for Powellville and Berlin Clothing and Manufacturing before retiring.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathy Drew (Mark) of Bishopville and three sons; Rick Ketterman of Washington State, A.J. Ketterman (Annette) of Snow Hill and Billy Ketterman of Bishopville. Six grandchildren; Mitchell Drew (Jessi), Matthew Ketterman, Abby Ketterman (Connor), Isabella Ketterman, Dezirae Bates (Joe) and Haley Ford (Andrew). Six greatgrandchildren; Autumn, Lucas, Ameila, Ben, Oliver, and Theodore.

She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Walter Ketterman Sr. in 1987; five brothers; Ira, Robert, Richard, Rufus, and Virgil Truitt and five sisters; Geraldine Carey, Carolyn Cropper, Mary Alice Mumford, Lorretta Cathell and Brenda Truitt.

A graveside service will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Libertytown, MD on March 5th at noon.

Janet will be cherished by her family and loved ones forever. Her spirit and strength will forge generations to come.
