Joshua Shane Grass, 43-year-old Vinita resident, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024, in Vinita. He was born on August 12, 1980, in Tahlequah to Roger Jumper and Mary Sue Grass. He worked at a tree and shrub nursery near Tahlequah until his health forced him to retire. Josh enjoyed going to Pow Wows, eating tasty food, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Malachi Luethje, and a sister, Ashley Eaton.

The family includes his step father James Eaton of Vinita, children, Jaleel Downing of Vinita, Jolani Grass of Muskogee, Alyssa Robbins of Tahlequah, Jaylynn Grass of Tahlequah, siblings, Trenton Grass of Vinita, Donovan Jumper of Pryor, Willie Jumper of Spavinaw, Reggie and Lyndon Mouse of Jay, Denise Grass of Vinita, Brittany Jumper of Eucha, Tiffany Jumper of Eucha, Whitney Jumper of Jay, Shelby and Sabrina Mouse of Jay, Tandy Mouse of Jay, Destiny Jumper of Spavinaw, and a granddaughter Brittany Kay Downing.

The celebration of life will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ribbon Baptist Church near Spavinaw, with Pastor Farris Downing officiating.
