Lorna Gaye Carroll Obituary

Lorna Gaye Carroll, fondly known to all as Gaye, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2024, at the age of 84. She was born on November 15, 1939, in Longview, Texas, to Alvah C. Weir and Margaret Brisendine Weir. Gaye moved to Magnolia, Arkansas in 1973 where she began her legacy.


Throughout her life, Gaye wore many hats, excelling in various careers. An entrepreneur at heart, she opened her first business as a beautician and ran a beauty supply store. At the same time, pursued real estate. At the height of her career, She was the proud owner of the highly successful Frame N Gallery, located on the historic square in Magnolia where her artistic flair shone brightly for 40+ years.


Beyond her professional endeavors, Gaye was an accomplished artist who found joy in various creative outlets such as painting, sewing, interior decorating, and landscaping.


Family was paramount to Gaye, and she cherished every moment spent with her extensive family. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren were the light of her life, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories that will endure for generations.


Gaye is survived by her loving son, Ricky Carroll, and daughter, LaNae O'Neil, along with her husband, Sean. She is also survived by her sister, Linda Shirley, and sister-in-law, Evelyn Weir. Gaye leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her 13 grandchildren - Jayson Carroll, Richard Carroll(Stephanie), Cassie Glass(Jason), Megan Bevins(Chris), Kaylin Salas(Luis), Veronica Carroll, Bri Daniel(Marsh), Kristin Tilley(Adam), Ryan Stegall(Maddie), Shelby Miller(Collin), Blake Stegall, Ayden Hensen, Jaylyn O’Neil and 25 great-grandchildren Joshawa, Abigail, Kristen "Sugar Plum", Macie, Justina, Blade, Dakota, A.J., Logan, Bristol, Maddox, Eli, Charlie, Sophia, Parker, Max, Ivy, Beckham, Hudson, Justin, Everett, Oliver, Sutton "Lil Rosie", Stella, Colbie; lastly, 2 great-great grandchildren Adley and Avery. Gaye also had a host of nieces and nephews who loved her deeply.


She is preceded in death by her parents, Alvah and Margaret Weir, her late husband, Wayne Carroll, and her brother, A.C. "Bo" Weir.


Gaye Carroll will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, quick wit and humor, unwavering love for her family, and her numerous talents. She touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
