Joseph J. Blicharz died on February 8, 2024. His parents Joe and Sophie Blicharz, his brother Arthur, and his wife Mollie all preceded him in death. His son Andrew, his sister Elaine Marie Marrella, her husband Louis, her children Louis, Michael, and Nicole–all survive him. He is survived also by numerous cousins in Poland whom he was privileged to meet. He also has many cousins in New Jersey, the Chicago area, and in other places in the U.S. who survive him. He was born in Bayonne, New Jersey on November 21, 1946. He attended local schools through University there. He helped his family in their grocery business in Bayonne. He was an M.P. in the Army during the Vietnam era. He then worked for the IRS. He tried to work as an auditor as though he was on the other side of the desk, with empathy. His two major accomplishments in life were meeting and marrying his beautiful wife, Mollie, and fathering his wonderful son, Andy. He had a good sense of humor and was compassionate and generous. He believed in God and thanked him often for such a good life. Whether God exists or not, he believed in treating others as he would like to be treated. He hopes everyone he came in contact with during his journey was happy to know him. He died hoping to see all of you sometime in the future.

There will be an 11am graveside service Thursday, February 29th, at Masonic Gardens Cemetery.
