<p>Rebecca Ramsey Triplett, 86, passed away peacefully at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS on February 27, 2024. She was born on February 9, 1938, to the late Minerva Burdette Ramsey and Charles Edward Ramsey.</p><p><br></p><p>Rebecca obtained her bachelor’s degree at the University of Southern Mississippi and completed her master’s degree in music at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). Music was her life, and it filled her days. She taught in the music department, mainly at Northwest Mississippi Community College, for over 40 years. When she was not in the classroom, she could often be found sharing her love for music through teaching private piano lessons to many students throughout the years. Rebecca was pianist for the First United Methodist Church in Senatobia, where she was an active member. She also attended Coldwater United Methodist Church in her later years.</p><p><br></p><p>Rebecca was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who cherished spending time with her family.</p><p><br></p><p>Left to cherish her memory includes her son, Jeff Triplett (Laura) of Coldwater; granddaughters, Madison Triplett of Searcy, Arkansas, and Aubrey, Elisabeth, and Meg Triplett of Coldwater. Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, Barnett Glenn Triplett Jr., parents, Minerva Burdette Ramsey and Charles Edward Ramsey; and brothers, Bill Ramsey, Charles Ramsey, and Lee Ramsey.</p><p><br></p><p>Visitation will be held at Ray Nowell Funeral Home in Senatobia on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Ray Nowell Funeral Home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Graveside service and interment will be held at Senatobia Memorial Cemetery in Senatobia, MS immediately following funeral services.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a donation to the Glenn &amp; Rebecca Triplett Music Scholarship through the Northwest Foundation. The Foundation office can be reached at (662) 560-1105.</p><p><br></p><p>Ray Nowell Funeral Home is honored to serve the Triplett family during this time of sadness.</p>
