Damian J. Shirk

Damian J. Shirk, 23, of Narvon, passed away on February 25, 2024 in his residence.

Born in Altoona, he was the son of John Aaron and Susie R. (Newswanger) Shirk.

He worked for various masonry businesses, with his last being Zooks Masonry. His favorite pastime was spending time with his son, Dylan. He will be remembered best for his energy and for his love of talking on the phone for hours upon hours at a time with his family.

Damian is survived by his parents, John Aaron and Susie R. (Newswanger) Shirk of East Earl, his five-year-old son, Dylan A. Shirk, Dylans mother, Brittany R. Miller, brothers, Floyd N. Shirk of Ephrata, Steven A. husband of Amanda D. Shirk of Newmanstown and Michael A. Shirk of East Earl and sisters, Wanda J. wife of Dana W. Hoover of Narvon and Ruthie L. wife of Glenn W. Martin of Memphis, MO. He is also survived by 9 nieces and 6 nephews.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents and one niece.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Churchtown Mennonite Church, 2327 Main Street, Narvon PA 17557 with Randy Brubacher, Brent Martin, Douglas Zeiset and Phil Hollinger officiating. A Viewing will be held for one hour prior to the time of service on Friday and on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the church. Burial in the adjoining church cemetery.
