<p>Argyle, </p><p><br></p><p>Judy McWhorter, 78, passed away on Sunday, February 25th 2024 at the Washington Center in Argyle, after a long hard battle with COPD and CHF. </p><p><br></p><p>She was born in Glens Falls Hospital to the proud parents of Howard and Lena Weller.</p><p><br></p><p>She leaves behind to continue their lives journey; her husband, Donald McWhorter; her sons, Daniel (Deb) Newell and Michael (Cheri) Newell; her daughter, Tracy (Jay) Lucarelli, all of Argyle; her sister and brother-in-law, Fay (Frank) Vaughn of Bronson Texas. She also has many grandchildren, Daniel, Adam, Jessica Newell, Jason Girard &amp; Ky Dickinson; her two great grandchildren, Hayleigh and Dylan Girard, along with many nieces and nephews. </p><p><br></p><p>Family members that have predeceased her are her parents, Howard and Lena Weller, her sister and brother-in-law, Flo (Bob) Belden; her brother and sister-in-law, Lester (Roxanne) Weller; her brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws, Ken and Sandy McWhorter, Bruce and Sue McWhorter, Edna McWhorter, Shirley McWhorter, Faith McWhorter, Mary Lou McWhorter and Lois (Maurice) Kilmer; her nephews, Kelly and Darwin Weller, Harry Vitas and niece, Lynn Schnable.</p><p><br></p><p>Many of her life enjoyments were as a young girl, she won many awards competing on roller skates, and as an adult riding horses in gymkhanas in the area. During the years that her grandchildren were in school she was, as the kids called it, their bus driver to and from school.</p><p><br></p><p>She retired from General Electric with 32 years, working in the factory in Fort Edward. After her retirement she went back to school earning her GED. During part of her husband Donald's career in the US Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 13 Foxtrot Company, she was the Foxtrot Company OMBUDSMAN October 1, 1992 until Dec 31, 1994. </p><p><br></p><p>The Family would like to give their heartfelt thanks and blessings to all of those who attended to her in her times her medical needs and distress, Donna Prime RPA-C with Dr Footes office in Hudson Falls, Dr Patrick Rawley with the Adirondack Cardiologists in Glens Falls, Dr Augustin DeLago at Capital Cardiologist Associates, Dr Rodney Ying and his staff at Saratoga Pulmonology, The Glens Falls Hospital Emergency Room Doctors and Nurses, The Glens Falls Hospital Tower 3 and Tower 6 staff. What true angels these people are. The Argyle Emergency Medical Service for their many responses in mothers need and the Washington Center for Rehab Midtown nursing staff, who went above and beyond to provide her the care she needed. They are all special Angels who do some of life's demanding work for their patients. </p><p><br></p><p>A very special niece, LeeAnn Vitas for being there when she needed help and reassurance in the good times and the not so good times., as well as her special friends Fay Pollock, a life long friend that is like a sister to her, and Marilyn Hogan, who would always try to send her something special to help her through the rough times. </p><p><br></p><p>Judy and her family ask that if anyone is thinking of sending flowers to please send a donation instead, to the Argyle Emergency Emergency Squad, 15 Sheridan St., Argyle NY, 12809.</p><p><br></p><p>At Judy's request there are no public calling hours.</p><p><br></p><p>Services are private and at the convenience of the family. </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
