Passed peacefully away on Saturday February 24, 2024 with her family at her side Phyllis Dyke (Arnold) at the age of 94.

Phyllis is predeceased by her husband John (Jack) Arnold of Traytown and husband Eugene Dyke of Terra Nova, parents Wilson and Beatrice Hunter of Traytown, sister Verna Winsor of Florida, brother Theodore (Ted) of Traytown and daughter-in-law Marguerite Arnold (Derek) of Traytown.

Leaving to mourn son Derek, daughter Shirley (Eugene), Philip (Caroline) Irricana ,Alberta, David (Norma) Charlottetown, NL, Thomas (Kelly) Airdrie, Alberta, 8 Grand Children, 16 Great- grand Children, 4 Great-great Grand Children and special friends Irene Kean, Elizabeth Hunter.

Phyllis was a gentle, kind, independent person who loved and cared for everyone in her large circle of family and friends. She was also a very strong person as was seen in her ability to care and support her children after the passing of her first husband Jack.

Phyllis had a great work ethic, always liked to be busy both at work and home and in her diversified life style after her retirement from TNNP. She was a long time member of the Traytown UCW and a Life-Time Member of the 50+ club in Glovertown.

Phyllis liked to travel around the province as well as visiting family in Alberta and Florida. She was very accepting of people and was never known to say anything negative of others.

We would like to send a very special thanks to the Staff of Baywatch Manor in Glovertown, nurses and other care givers at Y.K.Jeon Memorial Health Care Centre, Brookfield in making Mom's last months and days with us so much easier to endure. Also special thanks to Reverend Paul Vardy in your support and kind words.

Cremation has taken place.

Visitation will be held at Oram’s Funeral Home, Glovertown on Tuesday evening February 27, 2024 from 7-9 pm and Wednesday February 28, 2024 from 1:30 – 2:30 pm.
