Jean Bennett, 81, of White Hall, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 24, 2024. She was born April 14, 1942 in England, Arkansas to John Finnie Sloan and Rosa Jane Crabtree Sloan.

Jean was raised in different places while growing up, including Arkansas and California. She moved to White Hall in 1972. Jean worked at the Trophy House, Dillard’s and for the Corps of Engineers. She was a member of White Hall First Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Margaret Terry; and brothers, Vernon Sloan and Paul Sloan.

Survivors include her husband of over 60 years, Neal P. Bennett; son, David Neal Bennett (Teresa); grandchildren, Lacey Hale (John) and David Allen Bennett; great grandchildren, Alayna Hale and Xander Hale; sister, Linda Wingard; and brother, Kenneth Sloan.

Funeral service will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Robinson & Fuller White Hall. Rev. Paul Williams will officiate. Visitation will be 2:00 PM until funeral time Saturday.
