Mike Saltis, 84, of Flemington, WV, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at the Taylor Healthcare Center in Grafton. He was born in Flemington on September 5, 1939, a son of the late John and Etta Mae (Costilow) Saltis.

In addition to his parents Mike was preceded in death by siblings: Johnny Saltis, Andy Saltis, Pete Saltis, Mary Minear, and Elizabeth “Tippy” Wilson Carr, and numerous other extended family members.

Mike is survived by four brothers: George Saltis of Lorian, OH, Steve Saltis (Twyla) of Flemington, Joe Saltis (Lucy) of Flemington, and Paul Saltis (Candy) of Knottsville; and sister-in-law Bernetta Saltis of Belington. Mike is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, greats, and great-greats, and he was always “their favorite Uncle Mike.”

Mike was a graduate of Flemington High School and worked in construction for a while. He always had a kind and friendly heart and was proud of his religion. Mike loved going to flea markets and yard sales. He was a great cook too and made his family many good meals. The family would like to extend a special thank you to his niece Anna Murphy and the Taylor Healthcare Center for the love and care to Mike.

Family and friends will be received at the Donald G. Ford Funeral Home 950 George Washington Hwy Grafton, WV, on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 3 until 7pm. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 11am with Pastor Jim Burton presiding. Interment will follow at the Flemington I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
