Kerry Glen Wright
<p>Kerry Wright Jr. (AKA Bub) of Lake Cormorant, MS, passed away at his home on February 20th, 2024. He was born at Baptist East on January 30th, 1981. Bub attended Southaven High School. He worked many years in the automotive industry after that, spending most of his time there building cams for Nascar. He attended dance and gymnastics class under Jackie Carpenter Hessler from ages four to fifteen, with dreams of one day going to the Olympic Games. He loved working on landscaping, and on vehicles, being very mechanically inclined. He loved to cook, barbeque, and spend time on the phone with his sister, Jamey, and his brother, Nick.</p><p><br></p><p>Bub has three sons. Kerry Wright III and Karson Wright with Melissa Hewett McEndree, and Keegan Rust Wright with his partner, Amber Rust.</p><p><br></p><p>He is preceded in death by his father, Kerry Wright Sr. He is survived by his mother Gwendolyn Wright, his best friend Steve Strader, his sister Jamey Wright (Josh Dunn), his brother Nick Wright, his aunt Cathie McCutchen (Al McCutchen), his aunt Holly Carlo (Robert Carlo), his uncle Terry Wright (Ann Wright), and a host of great aunts and cousins.</p><p><br></p><p>Hernando Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Bub, and then he will return home with his family.</p><p><br></p><p>A celebration of life will be held at his mother's home in Lake Cormorant, with all of his family and friends present.</p>Obituary
