Mary M. Belval, a 95-year-old resident of East Windsor and widow of Roger E. Belval Sr., passed away on Thursday, February 22nd, 2024, at her home. She was surrounded by her loving family and her dog. Mary was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and graduated from Weaver High School. She had lived in East Windsor since 1961 and worked at Balch Companies for 57 years.
Mary enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, camping with her late husband, children, and grandchildren, and spending time with her poodle Emmy. She also loved spending quality time with her brothers and sister, including going to Hartford for homemade Italian food and meeting her brother at Dunkin Donuts with his Harley friends. She is survived by her sister Jane and brother Michael. She loved her three children: Linda Roy and her husband Ray of Broad Brook, Karen Michaud and her husband Dave of Broad Brook, and her late son Roger E. Belval Jr. of East Hampton. Mary cherished her four grandchildren: Heather, Jenna, Jill, Josh, his wife Shelby, and their expectant child.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 26th, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home, 37 Gardner Street, East Windsor. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024, at Bassinger & Dowd Funeral Home. The burial will follow at Saint Catherine Catholic Church cemetery.
