Gregory “Brian” Crossman, 65, of Greenfield, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield.

He was born on January 29, 1959, in Greenfield, Indiana, a son of the late Ronald Lee and Peggy Jean (Pryor) Cain.

Brian was a 1978 graduate of Knightstown High School. He worked for Corley Construction in Indianapolis for many years and recently worked for himself in roofing. Brian was always a kid at heart and loved anything family-oriented: bonfires, listening to music, and playing with his grandbabies. Brian loved being outdoors and walking, and he especially loved his dogs, Cocoa and Rescue.

Those left to cherish Brian’s memory include a son, Joshua Crossman, and a daughter, Emily Crossman, both of Greenfield; two granddaughters, Olivia and Ayrabella Rennier; his first grandson is due in June; brothers and sisters, Shannon Jones of Greenfield, Jeff Crossman, of Greenfield, Leon (Tracy) Cain of Shirley, Davett (Jim) Rednour of Greenfield, and Shelly Griffiths of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; his former wife and dear friend, Angela Muse of Greenfield, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Heritage Funeral Care in Knightstown.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
