LINCOLN – David H. Washburn, 82, passed away Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at his home in
Lincoln. He was born January 9, 1942, in Lincoln, the son of Lewis and Hilda (Libby)
Washburn.
A lifelong resident of Lincoln, David was a graduate of Mattanawcook Academy, class of 1960.
David was the Director of Public Works for the Town of Lincoln, retiring in 2001 with 23 years
of service. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and working on his
farm. David was proud of his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his
grandson, Dale.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Charlene A. (LePage) Washburn; six children, Scott
Washburn and his wife Debbie, Joel Washburn, David Washburn and his wife Shannon, Bruce
Thibodeau and his wife Joan, Judith Camp and her husband Kevin, and Michael Thibodeau;
eleven grandchildren, Amber, Mallory, Dustin, Breanna, Crystal, William, Brittany, Justin, Kim,
and Ashli and Dale, who were especially close to David; and several great grandchildren, nieces,
nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by two sisters Carolyn
Alexander and Audrey Moores, a nephew, Allan Alexander, and a daughter in law, Julie
Washburn.
Memorial services will be held at a date to be announced in the springtime. Arrangements are by
