<p>Mrs. Susie Mae Ross Fabian was born on April 21, 1949 in Pembroke, Ga. to the late, Willie Ross and Louise Grant. She was educated in the Wayne County Training School in Jesup, Ga. On February 15, 1979, she was united in holy matrimony to the late, Ozell Fabian. Susie was employed at King &amp; Prince Seafood for many years as a production worker. After years of service, that job ended and she began to work with Wayne County School System as a custodian from 2002 until 2016.</p><p><br></p><p>She was a member of Morris Chapel Baptist Church where she served as an usher for many years until her health began to fail. Susie loved her church and her church family. She was loved and she will be missed dearly among her family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>On February 19, 2024, Susie departed this life surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ozell Fabian; her siblings, Kenneth Ross, Clarence Ross, Josie Bell Ross-Jones, Samuel Ross and James Ross.</p><p><br></p><p>She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving daughter, Tonya (Caldon) Mattox, Brunswick, Ga.; like a daughter, Dyan Ingram, Jesup, Ga.; her sister, Betty Peterson; her brother, John Ross; her sister-in-law, Ruby Fabian (Arnell) Thomas; her brothers in-law, Johnny (Eva) Fabian, Gary (Doris) Fabian, Warren (Alisha) Fabian and Daniel (Tabitha) Fabian; a special niece, Harriet Jones; special nephews, Derrick (Sherry) Jones, Chris Jones, Charles Williams, III and Mitchel Williams; six grandchildren, Keiosha Ellis, Keiondra Ross, Caldon Mattox, III, Caija Mattox, Justin Mattox and Zoe Darden; three great grandchildren, Tristan Clark, Kanelo Roberson and Justin Mattox, Jr.; her sister in Christ, Evangelist Marie Butler; her special friends, Cornell Nunnally, Rosa Griggs, Evelyn Wright and Sandra Samples, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.</p><p><br></p><p>There will be a visitation on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Morris Chapel Baptist Church, 362 N. 3rd Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545 from 5-7 pm.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Empowerment City Church, 675 S. 3rd Street, Jesup, Ga. 31545</p><p><br></p><p>Interment</p><p>Baconton Cemetery , Walthourville, Ga.</p>
