<p>Mass of Christian Burial for Vincent Rolf age 84 of West Point, NE will be on Friday, February 23, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church-Monterey. Interment with Military Honors will be in St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Nielsen Community Center in West Point, NE. Visitation will be on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point and continue from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church-Monterey, with a Vigil Service and Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.</p><p><br></p><p>Vinny passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Franciscan Healthcare in West Point, NE.</p><p><br></p><p>Vincent Henry Rolf was born on September 23, 1939 to Henry and Matilda (Hammerschmidt) Rolf on the family farm. He attended school at Monterey and graduated from Guardian Angels High School in 1958. Vinny served in the United States Army Reserves, attending training at Ft. Leonardwood, MO. He was later called into active duty in Ft. Lee, VA. After being honorably discharged he returned to the family farm.</p><p><br></p><p>On April 22, 1961, he was united in marriage to Agnes Stieren at St. Aloysius Catholic Church-Aloys. Vinny and Aggie raised their family on the family farm, where he raised livestock and had row crops. He took pride in the fact that he milked cows for 50 years starting when he was six years old.</p><p><br></p><p>Vinny was an active member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, serving as church trustee and on the parish council. He served on several boards throughout the community such as 4-H leader, township board, school board, and various other community activities.</p><p><br></p><p>Some of his most precious moments were spending time with his grandchildren. Playing spoons was his favorite game to play with them. He enjoyed bowling and golfing.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include-</p><p>Wife of over 60 years-Aggie Rolf of West Point, NE</p><p>Son-Randy Rolf of Norfolk, NE</p><p>Son-Gary and Jean Rolf of Brookings, SD and family-</p><p> Neil Rolf and Sarah Muirhead, Taylor and Megan Rolf and daughter-Abilgayle, Ben and Maria Rolf</p><p>Daughter-Diane and Dale Martin of Orchard, NE and family-</p><p> Jordan Martin, Travis and Hannah Martin, Zach and Samantha Martin</p><p>Son-Glen Rolf of Parker, CO and family-</p><p> Derek Rolf, Darin and Brianna Rolf, Makenna Rolf</p><p>Son-Tim and Sarah Rolf of West Point, NE and family-</p><p> Paige, Logan, Brayden, Kensingten, Aliesia Rolf</p><p>Daughter-Jodi and Kevin Meister of Cameron, MO and family-</p><p> Nate Meister and Natalie Zapoteco, Jared and Katie Meister</p><p>Sister-Sharon Anderson of Fremont, NE</p><p>Brother-in-law-Art Stieren of West Point, NE</p><p>Also survived by nieces and nephews</p><p><br></p><p>Vinny was preceded in death by his parents-Henry and Matilda Rolf, brother-Cletus Rolf, and sisters-Margaret Wordekemper, Rita Throener, Marcella Eikmeier, and Angie Leikhus.</p>
