Obituary

Eustacio Becerra Jr., of Plover, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2024, at the young age of 27.

Eustacio was born September 1, 1996 in Harlingen, Texas; son of Eustacio Becerra and Maria Torres. Growing up in Texas, Eustacio enjoyed spending time outside with friends and family. He loved to build things with his hands, discovering how they worked, and even helped his Dad on the weekends doing carpentry or cement work. When he wasn’t helping his Dad, he spent time fishing and swimming in the lake with his Mom and sister. While he enjoyed time with his family, he also enjoyed spending time with his friends skateboarding and popping wheelies on his bike. In his quieter moment, Eustacio found solace in drawing, always doodling on papers. Although Eustacio had the “too cool for school” attitude, he was a good student and kept up on his grades, with impressive mental math skills. In 2018, he obtained his GED from Texas State Technical College; an accomplishment he was very proud of. From there, he began taking courses for physiology and basic game development.

Out of all his interests and goals, the most important aspect of life to Eustacio was his family and helping others. He was so proud of all of his siblings, attending graduations and school plays and reveling in the ability to take them shopping and teach them new things. While he loved all of his family, he made sure those close to him knew how much he loved them. He would do anything for them. After meeting Lorraine, the love of his life, the two decided to move to Wisconsin to start a new life. Lorraine understood Eustacio in ways he didn’t even understand himself.

Eustacio will forever be remembered not only as a man who loved fiercely, but as someone with a silly nature and dark humor. He found great pleasure in music and would listen to some interesting artists. One of his favorite musicians was Elton John. He also enjoyed video games and, if time allowed, would spend hours playing. Watching old western movies with the kids and taking quick trips to the thrift store with Lorraine and his Mom were also favorite activities. The three of them loved to see what unique pieces they could find. No matter what activity he did, anyone that was around him was guaranteed to have a smile on their face.

Eustacio is lovingly survived by his fiancé, Lorraine Larez of Plover; his mother, Maria Torres of Plover; his father, Eustacio Becerra of Harlingen, TX; and his siblings, Maranda Becerra, Melany Mon, and Sergio Salazar, all of Harlingen, TX, and Madelyn and Scully Torres of Plover, WI.
