<p>Marie Y. (Richard) Tobin, 79, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2024 at home in Pascoag. She was the loving wife of James M. Tobin for 54 years. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Pete and Doris (Lamontagne) Richard.</p><p>Marie worked for the RI Department of Motor Vehicles for many years. She loved crafts, sewing and any type of shopping. She will forever be missed by all; especially Dennis, her son, who will always cherish and remember "mom" for all she gave him. He will always treasure their "SONdays".</p><p>In addition to her husband James, she leaves behind a son, Dennis Tobin and wife Lisa of Shelton, CT; her brothers: Russell Richard and wife Lois of Scituate and Robert Richard and wife Nancy of Johnston; her sister-in-law, Linda; her grandchildren, who brought many smiles and laughs to her heart: Brittany and Kyle Tobin; her grand-pups: Moki and Kaia, who brought her joy when they visited, giving her kisses and love and her "expensive baby" Tyler Merchant. She was predeceased by her brother, Peter Richard, her sister, Jeannie Leandro and brother-in-law, Donald.</p><p>Her funeral will be held on Friday, February 23, 2024, beginning with visitation from 10 to 11 AM and followed by a service at 11 AM, in the Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave., Pascoag. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery, 73 Church St., Cranston. In lieu of flowers donation in her name may be made to; Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284 or Brigham and Women's Hospital Development Office, 263 Huntington Ave, #318, Boston, MA 02115-4506.</p><p>www.boucherfh.com</p><p><br></p>
