Lisa A. Fox Obituary

Lisa Ann Fox, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away on February 18, 2024, surrounded by her family in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was born on April 17, 1958, in Manassas, Virginia, to Marie and Ted Querry. A funeral service to honor and celebrate Lisa's life will be held at Rice Funeral Service & Cremation Center on March 16, 2024, at 2:00 PM.



Lisa's life was filled with love and devotion to her family. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Fox Bradshaw, her mother Marie Querry, her father and mother in-law, John and Rosie Fox, her brother in-law John Fox Jr., her nephew Jason Querry, and nephew John Moore.



She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Lee Fox Sr., her son Gary Lee Fox Jr. and wife Jamie Fox, her daughter Angela Rose Pennell and husband Stephen Pennell, her sister Wanda Mclean and husband Chris Mclean, her grandchildren Jordan Bradshaw, Hannah Bradshaw, Arayah Fox, Katelyn Pennell, Xavier Fox, and Madelyn Pennell, and one great-grandchild. Lisa is also survived by three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.



Lisa married the love of her life, Gary Fox Sr., on August 2, 1979. She embraced her role as a wife and mother wholeheartedly, adopting Gary Sr.'s son Gary Jr. into her life and then welcoming two daughters, Amanda and Angela, with open arms.



After graduating from Herndon High School in Herndon, Virginia, Lisa began her career as a school bus driver before becoming a babysitter for neighborhood children. Later, she joined the property management industry, where she excelled and eventually became a Compliance Specialist with Claridge House, a position she held for over 15 years.



In her free time, Lisa enjoyed watching cooking shows, reading books, and observing hummingbirds from her porch. She and her husband retired together in Oklahoma to be closer to their family, cherishing their time with loved ones.



Lisa will be remembered for her strong personality, unwavering love for her family, and her generous spirit. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and selflessness.


She will be dearly missed, but her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
