Mass of Christian Burial for Marie Nosal age 98 of Wisner, NE will be on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Wisner, NE with Fr. Vincent Sunguti as celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the church. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a public Vigil Service and Rosary at 7:00 p.m., at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church and will continue one hour prior to the service. Minnick Funeral Home in Wisner is assisting the family.

Marie passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at The Waterford-College View Assisted Living in Lincoln, NE.

Marie Kathrine (Pojar) Nosal was born on July 2, 1925 to Jerome and Effie (Tichota) Pojar in Colfax County, NE. Marie was baptized at Holy Trinity Catholic Church-Heun and confirmed at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Beemer, NE. Marie attended Cuming County and Thurston County Rural Schools.

On May 6, 1947, she was united in marriage to Johnnie S. Nosal at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Beemer, NE. Marie was a stay-at-home mother and also had worked at the Bakery, Farmer’s Union, Lillian’s Dress Shop, and Wisner-Pilger School.

Marie was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, its Ladies Guild, and served on Parish Council and on the Finance Council. She enjoyed tending to her flowers, decorating cakes, sewing, and collecting dolls. Johnnie and Marie enjoyed traveling. Marie loved spending time with her family and friends.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents-Jerome and Effie Pojar, husband-Johnnie Nosal, son-David Nosal and Kenneth Nosal, grandchildren-Jeff Nosal and Corinne Nosal, brothers-Bob (Bonnie) Pojar, Roland Pojar, Arnold Pojar, Martin Pojar, Joe Pojar, and Clifford Pojar, and brothers-in-law-Richard Schultz and Larry Freyermuth.
