<p>Services for Mr. Gene Lee “Bullrider” Denton, 65, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 2 p.m., Thursday, February 22, 2024, at Cornerstone Pentecostal Church, with Bro. Kevin Passons officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p>Mr. Denton passed away February 17, 2024, at his home. He was born July 17, 1958, in Dallas, to Henry Lee &amp; Betty Jean Spiller Denton. Gene lived in the Grand Saline area most of his life where he was a farmer/rancher and loved bull riding. He was a member of Cornerstone Pentecostal Church. </p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Dorothy Davis; 2 brothers, John Lee Denton, and Charles Ray Denton; and niece, Lagina Pearce.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include his wife, Alaina Brown of Sherman; two sons, Charles Lee Denton of Houston, and Gene Lee Denton, Jr. of Houston; brother, Kenneth Wayne Denton of Mineola; sister-in-law, Shirley Denton of Alba; three grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>The pallbearers will be Cody Denton, David Wilson, Cameron Ridout, Sammy Copeland, Kobe Blue, and Dakota Davis.</p><p><br></p><p>Claude Soules will serve as honorary pallbearer.</p><p><br></p><p>The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. </p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
