Teresa E. King Obituary

Lincoln - Teresa Ellen King, 82, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on the evening of February 13, 2024. She was born on March 5th, 1941. She was the daughter of Edna and Clair King.

She is survived by her husband Dale (Reuben) King; her children, Stuart King, Darla Hope Osgood, and Dale-Ann King; her grandchildren, Justina and her husband Evan, Shelby and her husband Michael, Mike and his wife Becca, Jaidyn-Claire, and Kyle and his girlfriend Barbara, her great-grandchildren Aubrie-Ellen, Carter-Jack, Grayson, Sawyer, Brynn, Reese, Karli and Kennedi, her niece Shari and her husband Scott, and her nephew Malcolm, as well as several brother and sister in laws.

Teresa was a devoted Wife, Mother, and “Mammie” to her grandkids and great grandkids. Her family was her pride and joy. She spent a lot of her life exploring the state of Maine and enjoyed seeing the Ocean. She traveled, often solo, to nearly every single town in the state. Her goal was to see them all, and she only fell short of that by about 10 towns. She was a school cook for 30+ years during which time she worked at several area schools, but her heart was in Carl Troutt. She was the head cook right up until they shut the doors. The small size of the school allowed her to treat her “kids” at school as if they were her own, and in her heart, they were. She enjoyed gifting them during the holidays and doing whatever she could to make them feel special. She has shared with us so many fond memories of her “kids” there over the years, and they appreciated her just as much as she did them. She also enjoyed baking and cooking at home as well, particularly with her grandkids. Most of her kids though, as she would tell you, missed the cooking gene, however.

She is predeceased by her Mom and Dad, Edna and Clair King, her Mother and Father-in-Law, Arlean and Paul King, her sister “Bunny” and her nephew Brian as well as several brother and sister in laws.

Viewing services will be Saturday February 17th, 2024, from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Full Gospel Tabernacle, 14 Fleming St. Lincoln, ME. Gathering to follow at Stewart Learning Center, 51 Main St. Lincoln, ME.
