Tara Ashley Benson, age 41, passed away February 13, 2024 in Seven Points, Texas. She was born August 10, 1982 in McGehee, Arkansas to Phillip Scott Sanders and Barbara Lazarus. She was a member of Tillar Baptist Church. Tara loved to spend time with her family especially her kids. She loved cooking and loved to shop.

She is preceded in death by her father, Phillip Sanders; husband, Josh Benson; and grandparents, Louise Spurlock and Nick Lazarus. Survivors include her significant other Billy Mixon; sons, Christian Benson and Cooper Mixon, both of McGehee, AR; daughters, Caitlin Benson and Sophie Benson, both of McGehee, AR; mother, Barbara (Lawayne) Ratcliff of McGehee, AR; grandmother, Carolyn Sanders of McGehee, AR; brother, Kevin Ratcliff, of Greenville, MS; sister, Brooke Gamble of Monticello, AR; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Monday, February 19, 2024, from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm, at Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Chapel in McGhee, Arkansas. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bobby Pennington officiating. Burial will take place Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at 1;00pm at Longtown Cemetery, in Longtown Mississippi.
