Memorial visitation for Lindy Hansen, Jr. age 72 of Beemer, NE will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Beemer American Legion Hall, private visitation for the family will be from noon to 2 p.m., on Saturday. Minnick Funeral Home in West Point is assisting with the arrangements.


He would not want sad or anything like that, Jr would not want a big service or a lot of fuss. He was a simple guy. Some finger foods to snack on. Come in your everyday comfortable clothes to enjoy a drink and tell some funny stories and memories of Jr.


Lindy passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE.


Lindy Hansen Jr was born to Lindy Hansen Sr and Lyda (Siegert) Hansen on January 7, 1952 in

Norfolk NE. Lindy Jr was the oldest of 3 kids. Twin Brothers Larry (Linda) of Wisner, NE & Garry (Bev) of West Point, NE.

Lindy Jr graduated from Beemer Public School on May 17th 1972


In June of 1972 Lindy Jr married Debra Giese, they had 3 children Kevin (Jennifer) Hansen, Jeremy Hansen & Sarah (Cody) Marx. In addition to being a father, Lindy Jr was a proud Grandpa to Clint (Desi) Hansen, Morgan Bales, Seth Bales, Landree Loseke, Tucker Marx & Camrynn Marx. And a Great Grandpa to Hazel & Lillie Bales.


Through out Lindy Jr life he worked at Bob Vahle’s Farm, Stan Ortmeier Construction, Bill Dennis Construction in Wisner, Doescher Transfer, Beef America and finally retired after working for Craig Doescher at Highway Lumber. But even after retirement Lindy still enjoyed his wood working and cooking special meals at Chester’s Bar. Fish Fry was probably his favorite.


Lindy Jr hobbies through out his life were playing slow pitch softball for the Pastime Bar, canoeing with Gary Holtz & Les Ott (Hawk), going to Beemer football games with his friends, working in the garden with his dad Lindy SR, canning with his mom Lyda, wood working, hunting, and fishing.
