Donald Scott Myers
<p>Naugatuck, CT Donald Scott Myers, 69, husband of Pamela (Johnson) Myers, died peacefully on February 13, 2024 at his home with loving family by his side.</p><p><br></p><p>Scott was born April 5, 1954 in Waterbury, CT a son of the late Donald E. and Ann (Moran) Myers. Scott graduated from St. Francis Grammar School and Naugatuck High School and worked for the Naugatuck Board of Education for 15 years, retiring in 2007. </p><p><br></p><p>Scott enjoyed golfing, attending the auction in Seymour, CT and walking with Layla and his friends. He also enjoyed refurbishing any old item he could get his hands on. </p><p><br></p><p>In addition to Pam, his wife of 36 ½ years, Scott is survived by his son, Matthew Myers (Vanessa); daughter, Kristen Myers; siblings, Gary Myers (Janice), Rick Myers, Nancy Knapp (Larry), Suzanne Porto, Jill Myers and Keith Myers (Nicole); grandsons, Julian Gonzalez and Sonny Myers; granddaughter, Mia Myers and one granddaughter on the way; many nieces, nephews and beloved canine companion, Layla. In addition to his parents, Scott was predeceased by his mother in law, Dianne Engelstad; father in law, Robert Johnson; sister in law, Patti Johnson and brother in law, David Porto.</p><p><br></p><p>Family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate Scott’s life on Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 1:00 to 4:00pm at the Buckmiller Thurston Mengacci Funeral Home, 82 Fairview Avenue, Naugatuck.
