Martin Daggett Savage , 71 ,passed away February 13, 2024 at a Machias hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born January 6, 1953 in Eastport ,Maine to the late Malcolm and Jean (Daggett) Savage.

He was a lifelong fisherman and loved being out on the water. He was a proud and original member of the Lubec "SNOT Club", loved riding "around the square", and visiting with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years Peggy (Olson) Savage ; two daughters Jennifer Gallant-Schencks (Kirby) of Machiasport, and Rebecca Savage-Kocot (Jesse) of South Hadley, MA ; three precious grandchildren - Noah Gallant, Jenna Gallant, and Aubrey Kocot; mother-in-law Valerie; five special nieces Christine, Tara, Daphne, Ariane, and Brandee. He will be missed by many friends, especially closest friends Howard, Mary and George , Bunny and Lew, and Teea.

In addition to his parents he was predeceased by two brothers Louis and Brian.

His family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and doctors at DECH for their kindness and compassion during his final days there .
