<p>WIGNES: Robert (Bob)</p><p>April 20, 1946 – February 13, 2024 </p><p> The death of Bob Wignes, aged 77 years, of Watrous, SK occurred at Humboldt District Health Complex, Humboldt, SK on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Robert (Bob) Martin Wignes was born April 20, 1946 in Humboldt, Saskatchewan. He was the oldest of 5 children born to Svend and Audrey Wignes and grew up in the Glynfield district near Plunkett, Sask. Bob attended Glynfield School and later, Viscount High School. He worked in a variety of jobs the first few years after leaving home, became a business owner and eventually went back to farming near Viscount where he fulfilled his passion of living and working on the land for 45 years. Bob met Marilyn Knuckey in high school and they were married in November 1968 and raised three children. Their first home was in Watrous, and in 1978 they moved to the farm at Viscount. They retired back to Watrous in 2005 and enjoyed 10 years wintering in Yuma, Arizona. Bob volunteered his time with several clubs and organizations, took part in many sports over the years, and was involved in the communities of Viscount and Watrous. Bob was very social and made friends everywhere he went. He will lovingly be remembered and missed by many.</p><p> Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife Marilyn of 55 years, daughter Deanna (Bret), son Calvin (Tracy) and daughter Tara (Jason); grandchildren Jillina (Mat), Katelyn (Ryan), Colby, Kira, Aleah and Grayden; great-grandchildren Levi and Brooks; brother Ray (Wendy) and sisters Jean (Mervyn), Inger (Jerry) and Fay (Russell); brother-in-law Ivan (Karon) and sister-in-law Carol (Doug) and numerous nieces and nephews. </p><p>Bob was predeceased by his parents Svend and Audrey Wignes; parents-in-law Norman and Maisie (Les Murray) Knuckey; brother-in-law Gordon Knuckey; great-grand daughter Ada Blechinger. </p><p> A Memorial Service was held at Watrous Civic Centre, Watrous, SK on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. with Kristie Pilling officiating. Private Family Interment followed in Watrous Cemetery Columbarium. A Memorial Reception for friends and family followed.
