Jacqueline Sprinkle Obituary

Jacqueline Harper Sprinkle, 88, of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024, at home.


Jacqueline was born July 27, 1935, in Buncombe County to the late Elmo Preston and Margaret Jane Harper. She lived in several states, as well as Japan, as a military spouse before settling in Fayetteville for the remainder of her life. Jacqueline retired from Quickstop, Inc and was a prior member of First Baptist Church, Swannanoa.


In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Marjorie Stevens; brothers, Eugene (Bud) Harper and Albert (Butch) Harper; great granddaughter, Eva Leigh Schreppel; and son-in-law, Glenn Blastow, Sr.


Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Rhonda Sprinkle of Fayetteville, NC, and Nanette Blastow of Greensboro, NC; sons, Raymond Sprinkle (Delores) of Reidsville, NC, Randy Sprinkle (Craig) of Atlanta, GA, and Albert Sprinkle (Heather) of Asheville, NC; grandchildren, Glenn Blastow, Jr. (Kim), Misty Schreppel (Justin), Robert Blastow (Brynn), Erin Sprinkle (Tanya), Ashley Sprinkle, and Amber Williams; and great grandchildren, Garrett Blastow, Korbin Blastow, Taylor Blastow, Nicholas Blastow, Faith Sprinkle, and Kolden Sprinkle. Mom considered Hank, Susie, Max, Marshall and Mason Faykus as family. Also, special cousins, Betty Williams of Black Mountain, NC and Laura Pittman of Battery Park, VA.


A graveside service will be held Friday, February 16, 2024, at 3:00pm at Mountain View Memorial Park in Black Mountain, NC.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Cumberland County Council on Aging, Snyder Memorial Baptist Church Carpentry Ministry, or North Carolina Baptist Children’s Home.


The family would like to extend a special thanks to Victoria, Trinity, April, Phyllis, Jamie and the staff of Gentiva Hospice for their care of Mom. Also, Cumberland County Council on Aging and Snyder Memorial Carpentry Ministry for assistance with Mom’s wheelchair ramp.
