Richard John Connell Obituary
On the afternoon of Saturday February 10th, 2024, Richard John Connell passed away peacefully in his sleep. He was 64. Rick leaves behind his wife Heather (Boland) of 36 years married August 13, 1988. He is survived by his mother Norma Connell, his sister Linda (Mike) Neyers, and many more family members.
Rick was an Operations Manager for The Ontario Clean Water Agency for 20+ years and retired in 2021.
He was a member of the Rockton (Hamilton) Volunteer Fire Department Station 27 for 29 years. Currently ranked Station Captain.
He was also involved in the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Ontario as President twice and currently secretary. He was also involved in the Canadian Draft Dog committee.
Family will receive friends and relatives at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge on Friday February 16th from 3-7pm. A funeral service will be held at Lounsbury Funeral home 11am Saturday February 17th. Please join family and friends at the Hespeler Legion 26 Schofield St., Cambridge following the funeral service.
