<p>Robert T. Rinkus, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Friday, February 9, 2024. He was 73.</p><p><br></p><p>Son of the late Joseph and Lilian (Daddazio) Rinkus, he was born February 14, 1950 in Newburgh, NY.</p><p><br></p><p>A lifelong area resident, Robert was a retired mechanic for the Motor Pool at USMA, West Point, NY. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He was an avid outdoorsmen, enjoying hunting, fishing camping, especially in the Adirondacks. Robert also enjoyed tinkering with anything mechanical.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include a daughter, Kathleen (Kenneth) Abston of Maryland, NY; a sister, Patricia (Richard) Albertson of Wallkill, NY; two grandchildren, Brandon and Madison; one great granddaughter, Elaina and several nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his wife, Laura M. (Sledzianowski) Rinkus in 2015.</p><p><br></p><p>Private cremation has taken place at Cedar Hill Crematory.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial Visitation will be Tuesday, February 20, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at White, Venuto and Morrill Funeral and Cremation Service, 188 N. Plank Road, Newburgh, NY 12550.</p><p><br></p><p>A Memorial Service will follow at 1:00 pm at the Funeral Home.</p><p><br></p><p>Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, New Windsor.</p><p><br></p>

Robert T. Rinkus, of the Town of Newburgh, entered into rest on Friday, February 9, 2024. He was 73.


Son of the late Joseph and Lilian (Daddazio) Rinkus, he was born February 14, 1950 in Newburgh, NY.
