Barbara J. Slieff

Loving grandmother, caring mother, and encouraging wife only scratch the surface of the titles that late Barbara Slieff carried. On February 7th, 2024 she was carried home to Heaven. Although it can be hard to imagine life after death, it is safe to assume that she is dancing and singing her heart away in Heaven.

Barb's life was not always an easy one, growing up in the foster care system, but you wouldn't be able to tell by the life she led and the home she created for all of her family. Not only could her laughter fill a quiet room with warmth, she was also an amazing cook and baker. If you were to enter her home, you most likely would've encountered her while she was baking, singing, laughing, or crafting her days away. After only spending minutes within her presence, you would undoubtably come to the conclusion that she was a strong, powerful, and joy filled soul.

Her light shone brighter than any star you see in a country night sky, and this was never questioned by anyone who had the privilege to be in her company. Not only did the light of her joy shine but also her unquestionable faith. Barb dedicated her life to God and had been confirmed in her later years. She was never afraid to proclaim the faith she held onto ever so tightly. She had been an inspiration to everyone who was in her light and continued to give strength and encouragement to all.

She not only held God close to her heart but also the love of her family. Whether it be tending to the needs of her, husband, children or grandchildren, she never strayed away. She was always the loving hand that reached out for you. There are not many words that exist yet that can describe the loving compassion and brightness that shone through her. A loving grandmother, caring mother, and encouraging wife, don't even scratch the surface of the woman that was Barb Slieff.

She is survived by her loving husband, James Slieff. She was a proud mother to her sons, James and wife Sarah, Andy and wife Jackie, Brian, Jon and wife Jess. Her 9 wonderful grandchildren, Hannah Misner, Maddy Misner, Ava Slieff, Andrew and Emma Slieff, Laynie and Gavin Slieff, and Blake and Cody Slieff.
