Joseph Macon Hodnett, age 45 of Callands, Va. passed away Friday, February 9, 2024. Mr. Hodnett was born July 3, 1978 in South Boston, Va to Merry Wray Hodnett Sims and the late Hubert Thomas Hodnett. He was married to Sherri Gauldin Hodnett.

He will always be remembered as a dedicated and loving husband, father, and friend to everyone who knew him.

In addition to his beloved wife of the residence and his mother, he is also survived by his three children, Jonathan Hodnett, Emma Hodnett, and Caroline Hodnett; two sisters-in-law, Joann Walker and husband Dennis, and Shelia Easome; and two brothers-in-law, Steve Gauldin and wife Betty, and Gary Gauldin and wife Tonya.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Monday, February 12, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Service, Chatham Chapel with Dr. Henry M. Meadows officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. At other times the family will receive friends and family at the residence.
