At the age of  96, Sister Rose Marie passed quietly into eternal life on Friday, February 9, 2024. She was the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Schmittau) Lipke and the oldest of five siblings. Sister Rose Marie ministered for many years as an Elementary Teacher and later as a Pastoral Minister and Associate. She ministered in the Dioceses of Pittsburgh, PA, Boston, MA, Stamford, CT, Knoxville, TN, and the Archdiocese of Detroit, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Virginia Lipke Voke, Joanne Lipke Anderson, and Rev. Joseph Lipke. Sister Rose Marie is survived by her sister Germaine Lipke Bathen and niece Denise Bathen Jacques, the Sisters of Divine Providence and their Associates. There will be a Prayer Service on Wednesday, February 14th at 4:30 p.m. and viewing from 6-8 p.m. Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated on Thursday, February 15th at 11 a.m. All events will be held in the Visitation Chapel at Kearns Spirituality Center, 9000 Babcock Blvd., Allison Park, PA 15101.
