<p>Petra F. Green</p><p><br></p><p>January 2, 1939-January 27, 2024</p><p>Petra F. Green was born to the late Luciano Austria and Antonina Farinas Austria on January 2, 1939 in Pasay Manila, Philippines. She had one brother and three sisters: Rodelia Austria, Clarita Austria Labrador, and Nora Austria.</p><p><br></p><p>When World War II began, Petra and her family fled from Manila to her mother’s hometown province San Felipe, Zambales. Even at a young age, Petra was known to be hardworking. She took on many jobs to help support her family, including fishing and farm work.</p><p><br></p><p>She met Richard A. Green and they were married on October 14, 1962 in Bataan, Philippines. In December 1975, she immigrated to the US with her husband and two daughters.</p><p><br></p><p>When she arrived in the US, she worked as a hotel housekeeper, nurse’s aide, and machine technician. She was known to work multiple jobs at the same time. Petra retired from Abbott Vascular Inc. in Temecula, CA after working for thirty years as a machine technician. She embodied the saying, “work hard, play hard.”</p><p><br></p><p>Petra loved going to the casino, playing cards, shopping, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed dancing to her favorite song, “My Girl.”</p><p><br></p><p>She leaves many loved ones behind: husband Richard A. Green of Temecula CA, daughter Gloria L. Green of San Diego CA, daughter Frida (Keith) Motte of Temecula CA, sister Nora Austria of San Felipe Zambales, Philippines, grandson Richard A. Toliver, granddaughter Rozena L. Jones, granddaughter Clarinda N. Essien, granddaughter Nastassia R. Motte-Ginger, granddaughter Jasmine Herndon, grandson Jonathan B. Motte, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>"My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." --Psalm 73:26</p><p><br></p><p>We deeply appreciate your kind expressions of sympathy in our time of great sorrow. Thank you for keeping us in your thoughts and prayers.</p><p>A memorial service will be held at Murrieta Valley Funeral Home at 10 am on February 16, 2024. A lunch reception will be held following the memorial service.</p>
