Doris Virginia Kirby, 84, of Stephens City, VA passed away Friday, February 9, 2024, at Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center, Winchester, VA. 

Mrs. Kirby was born January 21, 1940, a daughter of the late Harry Hillard and Bethel O’Furr Ritter Helsley.  She was a member of the Meadow Mills Church of the Brethren and worked for many years at Lear Corp. in Strasburg, VA.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert James Kirby and siblings Harry E. Helsley and Mike Helsley. 

Survivors include her children Mark W. Figgins of Stephens City, VA, and Craig S. Figgins of Myrtle Beach, SC; her grandchildren Nicholas Figgins, Faith Figgins, and Amber Gardner; her great-grandchildren Brayden Gardner and Conner Gardner; her siblings Margaret Clem and Robert Helsley along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

A funeral service for Mrs. Kirby will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 16, 2024, at Stover Funeral Home with Rev. Fred Mauck officiating.  Burial will follow in Lebanon Church Cemetery.  

The family will receive friends at Stover Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. 

Pallbearers will be Brett Kuser, Gene Clem, Gavin Clem, Gage Clem, Keith Gardner, and Nicholas Figgins.
