Malachi (Bub) Obadiah Proctor, age 80, of Fayetteville, WV passed away peacefully with family by his side on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at 10:00 AM. Born on August 30, 1943, he was the first son of the late Lewis and Genevieve Proctor.


Bub was a devout Christian of the Adventist belief. He was a long-time truck driver, he loved working on cars, and piddling on old lawn mowers in his garage. He loved watching NASCAR and was a big Dale Earnhardt fan.


He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Doris June Proctor, daughter Lisa Van Dyke (Chris Van Dyke) of Ronceverte, WV, sons Chris Proctor (Lori Slayton) of Fayetteville, Sam Proctor (Beth Proctor) of Morgantown, WV, 7 grandchildren Jessica McBurney (Gary McBurney), Colton Van Dyke ( Autumn Van Dyke), Lukas, Lexi, Lyla, Maci, and Sammie Jo Proctor, 5 great grandchildren Carter, Easton, and Brynlee McBurney, Landon and Reagan Van Dyke, and siblings Nathan Proctor of Ashtabula, OH, Joy Barnette of Jefferson, OH, and Dreama Aubuchon of GA.


Funeral Services will be held at High Lawn Funeral Home in Oak Hill, WV on Monday, February 12, 2024, at 2 PM.


Friends may call on the family from 1 PM until the time of service.


Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Fayetteville, WV
