Larry Donald Cluck Obituary

Mr. Larry Donald Cluck, age 80, of Covington, died Thursday, February 8, 2024 at the Brian Center Nursing Care-Alleghany, Low Moor. He was the husband of Rachel Sizemore Cluck.

Mr. Cluck was born June 9, 1943 in Hanover, PA, the son of the late Donald H. Cluck and Treva Feury Cluck. Larry was a graduate of Covington High School and took several courses at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College. He served as a member of the Virginia National Guard from 1959 until 1965. During his working career, Mr. Cluck was employed as a supervisor by the former Hercules and A.E.T. until his retirement in October, 2009. Mr. Cluck was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping in his spare time.

In addition to his wife, Rachel, Mr. Cluck is survived by a daughter, Teressa Cash and husband, Joe of Covington and a brother, David Cluck of El Paso, TX.

In addition to his parents, Donald and Treva Cluck, Mr. Cluck was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda K. Stewart.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M., Monday, February 12, 2024, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Price officiating. Interment will follow in Alleghany Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Frank Sizemore, Danny Gibson, Jim Doyle, Dan Fey, Mike Wade and John Snyder.

The family will receive friends on Monday from noon until time of service at Loving Funeral Home.

The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Covington Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 588, Covington, VA 24426.
